The pups are now nearly 48hrs old and seem to have found their way around the whelping box.
Yesterday we had distress cries as they thought they were heading towards milk, but ended up on the heat pad (they'd follow the wrong source of heat), or one would have had it's milk and be heading else where another would feel it and follow it thinking it was en route to milk - but wrong again - more crying. At one point we had a puppy sucking on another's ear instead of a teat!
But today sleeping puppies lay on the mat and feeding puppies nestle into Hex, they seem very content... and greedy.
Hex is spending alot of today asleep - yesterday and last night she was on constant guard but she finally seems to have settled now.
